Instagram, although limiting, can be a fantastic marketing tool. It’s visual, personal and it doesn’t really feel like you’re being sold something. It gives bloggers and business owners an opportunity to be creative, to show some personality, to showcase snippets of their work and give their audience a behind the scenes look at what they are up to with beautiful photos and minimal text. I love seeing what the bloggers or designers I follow are up to, what they’re wearing, creating, etc at that moment. With people spending more time on taking amazing photos on Instagram, it makes sense to add your feed to your blog or website. There are quite a few ways to do this, but using a widget is the simplest and quickest way so you can have your Instagram Feed on your blog in just a few minutes.
Using SnapWidget or Intagme to add Instagram to your Blog
1. Head over to SnapWidget or Intagme.
2. Enter your username or a hashtag that you want to feature on your blog. Choose the type of widget. SnapWidget offers 5 including scrolling, board, slideshow, grid and map while Intagme offer only grid or slideshow. Choose the size that will fit your blog and change the look of your widget to suit your blog.
3. When you’re done customising it click “Get Widget” or “Get Code”. A box will pop up with the code you need for the next step.
4. Open a new tab or window and login to your blog. On Blogger, go to Layout > Add a new Gadget > HTML / Javascript Gadget.
5. Copy the code you got in step 2 and paste it into your Gadget and Save. Move the gadget to the position you want it on your blog.
